my good deed

this is conman (before.) 17hh thoroughbred/monster. i bought him for a dollar. the owner said he had fallen down a hill, hurt his hip and was lame. turns out he wasn't. he just had a gravel in his hind hoof. he was 300 lbs underweight at the time of vet check. he coliced twice when i brought him to his new home. with the help of my wonderful vet, we figured out he had worms. they had been dormant.


this! is conman again (after.) happy, healthy, and FAT (as fat as a slender horse can get anyway.) i love this first picture. hahah


it took lots of time and patience and empower. lol. that stuff works wonders. also, the best thing for a horse showing signs of worms is panacur power pack. conman probably would have died if it weren't for that. i kept the big monster for about 2 years while he got healthy. he lived in a HUGE hilly field with more grass than any horse could want. i sold him to a big show barn where he was doing what he loved--jumping. i don't know where he is now, but if he's still alive he'd probably be around 25. i miss him.

Awww Connie! I loved that horse!! I can't believe how skinny he was! And he had worms that bad? Though no surprise considering where you got him from I hope he's still alive and happy somewhere!

me too! he was such a good boy. he was mean sometimes, but i'm sure that came from years of being HUNGRY.
