Just saying hello!

Hi, my name is Caitlin! I'm 16 and I've been riding for almost 3 years (it'll be an offical 3 in September!)
I'm an English rider, I always have been and I always will be. I ride Hunters (jumpers is of no interest to me at this point).

Technically, I don't own a horse.
But, I'm leasing this amazing 17.2 hand 10 year old Thoroughbred named Gizmo. I call him mine, and so does everyone else!
I've been riding him since March 2009 (not very long at all) but we have improved SO much, and I started leasing him for my 16th birthday (which was at the end of March!) Who wants a car for their sweet sixteen when you can get a horse? Haha.
Anyway, he wasn't in the best of shape and he was really badly trained, so I'm fixing him up and already (in 3 months) he has improved SO much!!


I also ride a 13.2hand 7 year old Quarter Pony named Twinkle. I rode her from May '08-March'09, and now (June '09) I'm starting to ride her again! She was extremely out of shape when I first rode her, and she really knew only how to walk and trot. She did know how to canter, but hadn't in almost over a year, and I don't think she had ever jumped. Needless to say, it was nearly impossible to canter one full time around the ring on our first lesson.. By January, we could canter several times around and jumped 3ft.
